Jaan Nissar Lone (born 5 October 1987) is an Indian Kashmiri musician, composer, singer, and music director known for his contributions to Bollywood and regional music. He is the founder of AR Music Studios and is acclaimed for blending traditional Kashmiri elements with contemporary styles.

Career[edit | edit source]

Jaan Nissar Lone began his career in Bollywood with the 2012 film Shudra: The Rising, where he composed the entire soundtrack and background score.[1] His notable work includes "Rubaru" from the film Ginny Weds Sunny, which was nominated for the Mirchi Music Awards under the Best Raaga-based Song category.[2]

Through his label, AR Music Studios, Lone has released various popular tracks such as "Harmukh Bartal," "Salam e Wazwane," and "Peer Myanio." He is credited with promoting Kashmiri music on a global stage.[3]

Global Recognition[edit | edit source]

Lone has received multiple accolades for his contributions to music. In 2023, he was conferred the title of *Ambassador of Peace* by the Universal Peace Federation for his compositions promoting harmony.[4] He was also nominated for Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list in 2015.[5]

In 2024, Lone was appointed Global President of the BRICS Culture Media Forum, advocating for peace and cultural exchange on an international platform.[6]
